Sony PS3 and Folding: why not running BOINC

Does anyone know anything about the PS3 being able to run Folding. What about running BOINC. Is this already possible?

well sort of, you can install GNU/Linux (under the Other OS menu) and then compile BOINC from source... (I think...)

Folding@home tested boinc, but decided to develop their own distributed client and stop their boinc deployment.
