During the last two years, the project has made some big steps forward. However, it seems that every step forward has lead two steps backward. The list of things that need to be done has grown immense during this time. Ongoing technical problems combined with organizational and personal reasons have left only one conclusion: To close the project.
Rectilinear Crossing NumberThis is also the reason why we will permanently close the server at the end of this week (14th of january). We again thank the boinc community, and we will definitely keep you updated about the results!

The project was moved from 2008 up to 2010 to another server and changed the name to ga@home.I finally have a server with a better connection configured. I've paused WU generation and will let results return before moving to this new server.
Source
However, the old database could not assumed so all old work was lost (Source). Therefore this project is retired. Meanwhile also the new ga@home is offline, status unknown.

13 years agoAQUA@home retired. Last Info by Aqua:Dear volunteers,
Your contribution over the last 3 years to the AQUA@home project was critical for us to perform immense computations necessary for the advancement of our science and technology. We have published several scientific papers reporting the results of those computations, including our recent publication in Nature. We made sure to acknowledge your generous contributions in those papers, as your help was vital. At this time, however, we no longer have large computations requiring the computing power of AQUA@home. We therefore have come to the decision to shut down AQUA for the forseeable future. Thank-you again for the selfless devotion of your time, patience, and computing resources to our effort to progress the field of quantum computing.
Sincerely,
