Idle time with new BOINC
Jaap, Fri Jan 18 2008, 03:32AMI have installed the new version of BOINC (5.10.30). It now strikes me that the idle process is running a lot of the time, while with the previous version of BOINC the idle process consumed practically 0% of CPU time. What is happening here?

Is there any projects running at the moment?
Also, check your settings on the project site. There is a new setting that you can limit the amount (percent) of CPU time BOINC should use. It started in version 5.6, so depeinding on what version you are upgrading from, this may be it.

In the mean time, I found that this CPU limitation was set to 50%. I changed it to 100% which solved the issue. Thanks for your reaction.
